Manuscript Features

The manuscript is written by several hands and contains altogether twelve texts. On many pages there are later additions, which at places extend to several lines. Parts of the text are written in a neat and regular hand, the writing of others makes an unprofessional impression.

There is no foliation at all. Some folios are damaged and on several the writing is partly rubbed off which the result of loss of a few akṣaras.

The beginning of the Tārāṣṭaka has not been microfilmed, or is lost. Only the page which contains stanzas 7 and 8 remains.

The Strīvīryastaṃbhaḥ is only 3 lines long.

puruṣavīryastambhaḥ || || jāyaphalabhāgara[[to]](?) aphīmamāsā(?) 6 sālavami śrīmāsā 6 utkaṭārāmāsā 6 pāṣāṇabhedamāsā 6 paṃca vastūni ekatra kṛtvā dhattūrakālimnaḥ bījāni ṣaṭ sthāpya mahajjātīphalo chidraṃ kṛtvāṃtaḥsthaṃ niṣkāṣya aṃtaḥ etac cūrṇaṃ pūrayet | jalamiśrita(go?)dhūmacurṇena upari lāpayet paścāt tilataile ānimagnaṃ mṛdbhāṃḍe sthāpya cu.āḥ adhaḥ pūryopari kāṣṭhāni jvālayet saptadināvadhi paścān niṣkvātha tatraiva dinatrikaṃ sthāpya paścāt śītalaṃ kṛtvā (go)dhūmadūrṇaṃ dūrīkṛtya varṣatrayasya purāṇaṃ guḍena gharṣayitvā golikāṃ badhnīyāt pramāṇaṃ tu nāsaikaṃ | (fol. 12v4-7)
